About Us

It started with a question. The Genesis.

The answer wasn't just a lack of pads—truth is, it was a lack of knowledge. We found girls who thought menstruation was a curse. We found shame where there should be pride.

Today, NeedBe operates to ensure no girl stays home because of her period. Our mission is to dismantle period poverty and restore dignity through education, sustainable products, and life-skills training.

Why Choose Us?

NeedBe Foundation mission in action
01

Evidence-Based Action

In communities like Savelugu and Betwease, girls report exchanging sex for money to buy pads. We intervene where the need is most critical.

02

Sustainable Solutions

We provide Obaa reusable pads that last up to 3 years, breaking the cycle of dependency and eliminating the financial burden.

03

Education That Lasts

Beyond distribution, we debunk myths, teach boys to be allies, and provide inclusive education that lasts a lifetime.

Real Change

Our Impact Story

“Before NeedBe, I would hide during my period because I was ashamed. They taught me that my cycle is a source of strength, not shame. Now I can focus on my dreams and stay in school every single day.”
